About This EpisOde
On this episode of Delight Your Soulmate Clients, we talk about how this company had a golden opportunity to piggy-back off of the trust established with those who referred me, and exactly how they sabotaged the process by jumping the gun (and how they could easily fix it in about 5 minutes)
Ok, so ever since I started my own journey working on my mindset and just being an entrepreneur all of the insights that come along with it, I dove into this world that I never even knew existed.
I got a business coach, I got a mindset coach, and one day the both mentioned this cool new thing to me”
BUT, let me tell you how turned off I was after I purchased these cards.
So here’s what happened…
→ referred by business coach & mindset coach
→ not one who invests with brand new companies or people I’ve never heard of, so this was a leap for me (I checked amazon first)
→ email (from a different company who handles the shipping) “In the unlikely event of damage during shipment or receipt of the wrong product, please contact [third party company] at [third party company email address]. Please be sure to include your order number in all communications so that we may best assist you.”
NEVER PLANT THE SEED
→ before the confirmation email, I was already put on her list and being emailed things
Emily Aarons, I know you can do such better work than this.
Here are your takeaways Emily Aarons:
All you have to do is this…
→ Don’t try to hype me up about something new, when I haven’t even gotten to experience the thing I invested in
→ Instead of “here’s how to use the cards” it should have been something like “congratulations, here’s what to do next” or like “let me give you a sneak peak” so much more juicy especially because I don’t have the cards yet
→ I was getting multiple emails a day that weren’t all related. Literally I opened the confirmation email and then the very next email offering me a discount on joining a membership…. Don’t jump the gun! I never opened an email after that, even ones that “seemed” helpful due to their title. Take out other promotional material, or offer it as a ps in the actual helpful series related to what I invested in
→ I ended up unsubscribing in about 12 days, because it was just too much, and I didn’t *feel* like I was benefiting from having those emails in my life, all because I got turned off right at the start
Here’s what’s missing from the Client Delight™ Framework.
→ the excitement
→ highlighting the direction I am going
→ my next step of immediate value (all about positioning)
Once they have all 8 pieces in place, they’ll be good to go.

Your Takeaways:
Here’s what you can implement into your business right now:
→ in this experience I went from stranger, to investing in like one day because of the trust I had with those who referred me, [that is the power of referrals, right!?] but then, in less than 15 days, I kicked this company out of my inbox because they jumped the gun [they shot down this potential]
→ don’t jump the gun!
→ I am not saying to not offer your services, I’m saying to focus on delighting your soulmate clients, plus how your offer ties in. NOT to ask them to invest again before they even got really *any* type of benefit out of their first investment. Whether that’s a monetary investment, time investment, or otherwise.
See clients as relationships, not transactions, and make your clients *feel* the same way.
